But our commitment extends beyond the services we provide. We believe in educating our customers on energy efficiency and how it can save money and reduce their impact on the environment.
-
Preventative maintenance. This is the best way to keep your system running at optimal operational efficiency. All Year Cooling & Heating's preventative maintenance program is a great way to ensure your heating and air system is properly maintained. We will perform factory recommended maintenance once or twice per year. Make sure that you change or clean your air filter once a month as well.
-
Seal windows, doors and any air leaks. Don't let conditioned air escape your home and don't let unconditioned air enter your home through leaks or cracks in windows, doors or other areas of the home.
-
Seal and repair ducts. Inefficient ductwork can inhibit the distribution of conditioned air. All Year Cooling & Heating will inspect and repair your ducts to ensure there are no leaks or inefficiencies.
-
Install the proper equipment. If you install an new system that is too small for your home, it will work harder and more often, increasing energy consumption. If you install an air conditioner that is too large, it will not adequately remove humidity from the air and you'll be left with a home that is too cool or too humid. Make sure your HVAC system is just right.
-
Purchase a programmable thermostat. These allow homeowners to set their HAVC system to coincide with their schedule. Homeowners can set their thermostat at higher temperatures while they are away or while they are sleeping, and have it set for lower temperatures when they return from work or while they fall asleep. A programmable thermostat can save around $100 a year if used properly.
-
Switch to CFL light bulbs. Changing incandescent light bulbs to energy efficient compact fluorescent (CFL) light bulbs is another way to reduce energy consumption around the home. Many even come with a multi-year guarantee.
-
Insulate! Installing insulation can have a significant impact on your monthly energy bill. Conditioned air escapes through the doors and windows, but the most significant loss is through the attic.
